From St Matin Melina stopped at Statia, St Kitts, Nevis and Monsarrat on the way to Antigua, where everyone deserted the skipper and allowed a few days gentle maintenance.
Statia is a very quiet island with a slow pace of life
St Kitts we found to be unfrendly and expensive. Post cards $1-2 in St Martin, St Barts and Statia they were 4 for $1!
In Nevis we found good local fresh fruit and vegtables. A change from the tastless imports from the US that rot once they are taken from the fridge.
In Monsarrat we took a taxi tour around the island and into the exclusion zone - all very interesting.
Melina is in St Barts with strong wind and rain!
In a day or two we go back to St Martin for there regatta and then on to Statia, St Kits, Nevis and Monsarrat before ending up in Antuigua.
Meanwhile Magda and Jasek are getting on with their translations of tourist guides and Ian is doing some essential maintenance.
