Melina called in Bermuda due easterly winds. Plan to leave tomorrow for the Azores
Melina is leaving St Maatren on 15th May for the Azores and is due to arrive around the 5th June in Flores and then on to Horta. We plan to leave the Azores by 5th July and head for Brest where we are due about 15th July.
Onboard we have skipper Ian, Chris Wright from the Fleetway Cruising Club and two young poles Marcin & Maja. We were all at Angulla sailing week where we sailed Melina (Charm III's home) and had a go on the local work boats. Open 28' boats with 18 crew and sandbags as ballast ,with lots of sail. The boom is 35' long and the mast 45'. It was great fun but the mast on Ian's boat fell down and one crew member had to be taken to hospital.
Magda flew home on 14th and may join us in the Azores.
